Why Darkness Matters: The Power of Melanin in the Brain (2005) was a book first published by African American Images in Chicago, IL.  Moore is one of four authors on this book.  In combination with Edward Bruce Bynum, Ann Brown and Richard King, Moore has the lead article on Melanin: A Sensory-Motor Network.   Bynum is a clinical psychologist, Brown is a biochemist and King is a psychiatrist.  The expertise of these various scholars and their perspective on melanin is highlighted in this collection of informative essays.  The latest addition is published by Amazon.
